The public boat ramp is located within 5 minutes of the ranch headquarters, with some portions of the lake being accessible from the ranch. Species of fish found in Lake Ballinger include Largemouth bass, White crappie, White Bass, Channel and Blue Catfish. The ranch has close to 40 earthen ponds or small lakes making the Lago Ranch truly a waterfowl paradise.
